Camping

The camping season runs from May 1st to September 30th. There are a combined total of 188 reservable campsites and reservations can be made beginning in January. All reservations must be made a minimum of 14 days in advance, but should be made as far in advance as possible to ensure availability. Remaining sites are available on a first come, first served basis. Between July 1st and Labor Day a minimum two night stay is required on weekends (Friday and Saturday) if reserving 5 or more sites.

Barton Park
Barton Park is located just off of Hwy. 224, approximately 9.8 miles east of Clackamas on the Clackamas River.

The playground will keep your youngsters entertained for hours. An exciting game of softball, volleyball or horseshoes is perfect.

Fishing is another popular pastime. Folks will tell you that Barton Park is one of the best sites on the mid-Clackamas. Steelhead, trout and salmon could easily be the highlight of your campsite feast tonight.

Rafting is very popular. Many enjoy the adventurous trip starting about 6 miles upriver at McIver Park. The boat ramp provides excellent river access. Others choose to start at Barton for about a 5 mile journey to Carver Park. The Clackamas River is exceptionally beautiful and the rapids are mild enough for rafters of all abilities.

Barton offers 98 reservable campsites with all the comforts of a home away from home. The covered picnic shelter in Barton East campground is reservable for campers only in four-hour blocks. Please see the Camp Host or Ranger upon arrival for reservations, fees and deposits.

Picnicking is always a major attraction at Barton Park. There are seven reservable, riverside picnic areas (three covered), that combined can accommodate groups of up to 1,125 with lots of room for your drop-in dinner.

Feyer Park
Feyrer Park is located three miles southeast of Molalla on the Molalla River.

Feyrer Park offers acres of recreational opportunities. There are so many ways to enjoy your day here, it's difficult to decide what to do. Enjoy your feast at any of the three reservable (one covered), riverside picnic areas. Softball, volleyball and horseshoe facilities are available. The playground will fascinate your youngster for hours. Twenty wooded R.V. suitable/tent campsites beckon you for that weekend getaway.

Metzler Park
Metzler Park is located approximately 5 miles south of Estacada.

Are you looking for a place to get away from it all? Metzler Park is one of the best kept secrets in Clackamas County. Nature trails will guide you through woods of unparalleled beauty. The tranquil shores of Clear Creek will relax you. A unique foot bridge will provide the link between the forest and the more developed park facilities. Four spacious picnic areas (two covered), provide a special wooded setting for your meal. If a ball game sounds good after lunch, it will be hard to decide which kind to play. Metzler Park has facilities for softball, volleyball and basketball, as well as horseshoes. A wonderful playground was designed with your youngster in mind. At Metzler Park you can play for the day - or stay the night. All 70 campsites are in a wooded setting. Restroom facilities include flush toilets and hot showers.

Picnicking

The picnic season runs from May 1st through September 30th at all parks. Parks have limited facilities on a first come, first served basis all year long. Reservations may be made beginning in January and must be made at least 14 days in advance. Reservations should be made as far in advance as possible to ensure availability. First come, first served areas are available for smaller picnic groups.

A day-use entry fee is charged on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend.

All Clackamas County Parks with reserved areas have baseball, volleyball and horseshoe facilities available for your use. Reservations are taken for baseball and volleyball at no extra charge, and should be made at the same time as picnic reservations.

Sports bags, with a variety of equipment, are available for rental at each reserved facility from the Park Rangers.
