Metro Regional Parks
Metro protects open space and parks, plans for land use and transportation, and manages garbage disposal and recycling for 1.3 million residents in three counties and 25 cities in the Portland, Oregon, region.
& Recreation Department
The department operates Oregon's state parks through a headquarters staff in Salem and field regions. It is also responsible for Oregon's Recreation Trails, the Ocean Shores Recreation Area, Scenic Waterways and the Willamette River Greenway.

The board is Oregon's recreational boating agency. The board titles and registers recreational vessels, registers outfitters and guides, licenses ocean charterboats, and establishes statewide boating regulations.
