& Greenspaces
Metro protects open space and parks, plans for land use
and transportation, and manages garbage disposal and recycling for 1.3

National Park Service
The purpose of the NPS is to promote and regulate the use of national
parks, which purpose is to conserve the scenery and the natural and
historic objects and the wild life therein and to provide for the enjoyment
in such manner as will leave them unimpaired for the enjoyment of future
generations.
NPS Land and Water Conservation Fund
The LWCF program provides matching grants to States and local governments for the acquisition and development of public outdoor recreation areas and facilities.
