Lane County Attractions
Where other than Lane County, Oregon could you explore a haunted light house, meet a sea lion in his home, tour a vineyard, cross 19 picturesque covered bridges, take in a baseball game, go ice skating, and climb a mountain in a single day?
It takes only four hours to drive from the spectacular Oregon beaches to our majestic mountains, but we recommend taking your time.
The
largest sea cave on the U.S. mainland is here, the natural year-round
home of Stellar Sea Lions. The Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area
includes the world’s largest ocean-formed sand dunes.
The lovely 250-acre campus of the University of Oregon, a major research institution is located in Eugene. But the learning opportunities don’t stop here. Nearby is the Lane ESD Planetarium, the largest facility of its kind between San Francisco and Vancouver, B.C.
The Howard Buford Recreation Area, which includes the Mt. Pisgah Arboretum, has many trails for beautiful walks and challenging hikes.
