Welcome to Clatsop County
Clatsop County is located on Oregon's rugged and beautiful northwest coast. Our county is named for the Clatsop Indians. The Lewis and Clark Expedition spent the winter of 1805-06 here before starting their journey back east.
Clatsop County parks offer a variety of recreational opportunities, including lake and river access, swimming, boating, fishing, picnicking and wildlife observation.
Cullaby Lake County Park
165 acres located off U.S. Highway 101 between Warrenton and Gearhart. Features public access to lake (boat launch and docks), fourt-stall flush restroom, picnic shelters, barbecue pits, horseshoe pits, play areas, fishing, swimming, nature observation (beavers, bald eagles, deer and waterfowl). Home of the Lindgren cabin, a Finnish-American heritage site. Reservation Line 338-3740.
Carnahan
County Park
30 acres located at the north end of Cullaby Lake. Offers passive lake sports and day-use activities. Access point to land leased by the Boy Scouts of America. No facilities.
John Day County Park
On U.S. Highway 30 just east of Astoria. Public boat launch to Columbia River, flush restrooms and landscaped entryway courtesy of Tongue Point Job Corps Center.
Big Creek County Park
36 acres in the Knappa area. Features a community youth ball field, public access to Big Creek fishery and open space recreation. No facilities.

Day County Park
34 acres located on U.S. Highway 30 just east of Astoria. Features public boat launch to Columbia River, flush restrooms and landscaped entry courtesy of the Tongue Point Job Corps Center.
Klootchy Creek County Park
Located along U.S. Highway 26 about 2.5 miles eastof U.S. Highway 101. Features Oregon's State Heritage Tree Site No. 1—the largest tree in Oregon and the largest Sitka Spruce in the United States. Handicapped accessible observation deck. Offers public access to Necanicum River and to remnant coastal temperate rainforest. Facilities include chemical toilets and trash receptacle. Regional visitation just under 100,000 a year.
North Fork Nehalem County Park
Located on Oregon Highway 53 at the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife fish hatchery. Features three acres of prime steelhead fishing access on the North Fork of the Nehalem River. No facilities.
David Douglas County Park
Located on U.S. Highway 26 13 miles east of Seaside. Sixty-four acres of “old-growth” forest with sub-alpine fir. Open space recreation. No facilities.
Nehalem
County Park
Also known as Red Bluff. Located on U.S. Highway 26 about a half-mile east of Elsie. Fifty acres of “old-growth” forest. No facilities.
Lee Wooden Fishhawk Falls County Park
Located on Oregon Highway 202 25 miles east of Astoria. Fifty-five acres of passive inland forest recreation, trail to Fishhawk Falls with footbridge. No facilities.
Sigfridson County Park
Located on Oregon Highway 202 one mile east of Olney. Sixty-four acres of day-use recreation. Offers public access to Klaskanine River. No facilities.
Westport Public Boat Ramp
Located one-half mile north of Westport. Leased private land by the county. Offers boat launch to Columbia River. No facilities.
Aldrich Point Boat Ramp
Located at the northern end of Aldrich Point Road in Brownsmead. Leased
private land to the county. Offers public boat launch to Columbia River.
